Minister De Lille launches Tourism Month

# Tourism minister Patricia de Lille has officially launched Tourism Month in KwaZulu-Natal, urging South Africans to explore their own country. De Lille says domestic tourism remains a key pillar of economic growth, supporting jobs, entrepreneurs and communities. She says South Africans made 21-point-two million overnight trips in the first half of the year, with holiday travel up 36-percent. The minister is encouraging affordable travel through Sho’t Left initiatives, while highlighting technology and artificial intelligence as opportunities to grow tourism.
