# The Western Cape Government launched its Export Strategy 2035 to drive economic growth, investment and job creation. Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism MEC Ivan Meyer, who unveiled the strategy, says it supports the province’s Growth for Jobs strategy by expanding market access for local businesses. He says the plan aims to add one-thousand active exporters and unlock at least 10 new export opportunities while improving logistics, trade access, and global competitiveness:
