Mashatile says South Africa has made progress in fighting tuberculosis [SOUND]

# Deputy president Paul Mashatile says South Africa has gained momentum in the fight against tuberculosis by strengthening systems and embracing innovation and technology. He delivered the closing remarks at the 9th South African TB Conference in Boksburg, Gauteng, yesterday, in his capacity as the chairperson of the South African National AIDS Council. Mashatile stated that since 2015, the country has achieved a 61-percent reduction in TB incidence, surpassing the World Health Organisation’s 2025 milestone ahead of time:
