# Deputy president Paul Mashatile has engaged French and South African businesses at a Roundtable Breakfast Dialogue hosted by Mouvement des Entreprises de France International in Paris. Highlighting South Africa’s 940-billion-rand infrastructure plan, he invited French investment in transport, energy, and manufacturing. Mashatile also referenced the European Union’s 90-billion-rand investment package announced in March. In talks with Meridiam founder, Thierry Deau, he emphasised the importance of sustainable, long-term infrastructure partnerships to boost economic growth and trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
