# The Eastern Cape Transport Department says the Lootsberg Pass on the N9 between Graaff Reinet and Middelburg has been closed to traffic as the snow continues to fall in the province. The South African Weather Service issued a warning of snowfalls that will be disruptive, affecting traffic flow over mountain passes. The department’s spokesperson, Unathi Binqose says the snow is getting thicker on the Lootsberg Pass road:
