Industrial pollution has decreased by between 40% and 75% in Europe

# The European Environment Agency says since 2007, European industries have reduced emissions of harmful pollutants into the air and water by between 40- and 75-percent. However, it is estimated that the largest installations in the European Union still account for around 40-percent of greenhouse gas emissions, and are responsible for 20-percent of all air and water pollutants. The EU aims to reach carbon neutrality and zero pollution by 2050. The agency says the EU has completed or advanced the implementation of the 33 actions in the zero pollution action plan.
