# Ozzy Osbourne, regarded as the founding father of British heavy metal, has passed away at the age of 76, after struggling with Parkinson’s disease. His death comes just two weeks after he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates and performed a farewell concert in his hometown of Birmingham in England. Osbourne, also known as the Prince of Darkness, garnered additional fame through the MTV reality series, The Osbournes, which focused on the rock star’s home life. His family says Osbourne died surrounded by love.
