# Government has rejected Ghana’s claims that the fatal shooting of a Ghanaian national in Nyanga, Cape Town, was linked to Tuesday’s anti-migrants’ demonstrations. Police say the man was shot during a suspected extortion-related robbery at his barbershop on Monday, a day before the protests took place. Government spokesperson William Baloyi accused Ghana of spreading false information, as no deaths were recorded during the demonstrations:
