# The Department of Home Affairs says none of the 268 Nigerian nationals repatriated from South Africa yesterday evening were in the country legally. About one-thousand Nigerians have registered for repatriation ahead of the June 30th deadline set by anti-migrant groups, with 500 being cleared. Of the 500, 268 were undocumented. The department’s Immigration and Law Enforcement head, Stephen van Neel, says they conducted one-on-one interviews with the 268 Nigerians, who have been declared undesirable, as provided in the Immigration Act:
