# The African Farmers’ Association of South Africa is raising concerns over government support for Black farmers benefiting from land restitution. Afasa land reform committee head Piet Mothepu says some farmers have not received title deeds, preventing them from using their land as security for bank loans. Mothepu says some beneficiaries also face eviction and possible farm reallocation. He says the government must provide greater support to ensure farmers can operate successfully and protect their livelihoods.
