# The African Farmers’ Association of South Africa accused the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development of undermining land claim beneficiaries by advertising and reallocating farms without their consent. Afasa Land Reform Committee head Piet Mothepu says affected farmers in the Free State and Eastern Cape are being sidelined in favour of outside investors. He says the organisation will seek an urgent court interdict to halt the process, arguing the department is violating the rights of legitimate land reform beneficiaries.
