# The Department of Electricity and Energy has amended the request for proposal documentation for the inaugural procurement of two-thousand megawatts of gas-to-power. This follows various clarification questions raised by prospective bidders, including the load factor range. The amendment follows the approval of the updated Integrated Resource Plan, which envisages the introduction of six-thousand megawatts of gas-to-power in the period to 2030. The department has also extended the bid submission for the Gas Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme to May 29 next year.
