# Electric vehicle sales in Germany rebounded in the first half of the year after a difficult 2024, even as the broader auto market slowed. After years of growth in Europe’s top auto market, sales of battery-powered cars plunged last year following the withdrawal of government subsidies and as Germany’s economy battled a slowdown. But sales of fully-electric cars grew around 35-percent in the first six months of 2025 compared with the same period last year.
