Dynamic duo bag R25,000 as their AI-centred farming intervention impresses at national competition

# Two Walter Sisulu University affiliates, a graduate and a current student, have secured 25-thousand-rand after qualifying as one of the top 15 finalists in the MTN ENACTUS Digital Innovation Challenge. IT graduate Philasande Mathafeni and his business partner, third-year Human Resource Management student Thulisiwe Matyobeni, have created Fair-Trade Blockchain Marketplace. This mobile application helps smallholder and rural farmers get access to verified, secure, and fairly valued digital marketplaces. The two are now competing for a spot in the top 10.
