# The Department of Water and Sanitation says progress has been made in establishing the South African National Water Resources Infrastructure Agency SOC Limited after approval of its board and official registration. Spokesperson Wisane Mavasa says the agency will strengthen South Africa’s ability to finance, develop, and maintain national water infrastructure. She added it will attract investment for dams and bulk water projects while consolidating infrastructure functions currently managed by the department.
