# The DA in the Western Cape has praised the province’s HealthNet Planned Patient Transport system for providing free, reliable and safe transport to health appointments for vulnerable residents. The operational budget for HealthNET includes staff costs amounting to 55-million-rand, overtime costs of 2.5-million-rand, and vehicle expenses totalling 51-million-rand. The DA’s Memory Booysen says currently, the HealthNet service reaches all areas of the province, providing transportation to approximately 150-thousand people annually:
