# The South African National Defence Force has confirmed that a group of critically injured soldiers, who need urgent medical attention, have been successfully repatriated from the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The soldiers were injured during fighting with Rwandan-backed M23 rebels. SANDF spokesperson Siphiwe Dlamini says the other injured soldiers being repatriated are scheduled to arrive in South Africa during this week:
