# Cricket: Former Bangladesh one-day captain Tamim Iqbal has regained consciousness and is speaking to family members after suffering a major heart attack during a domestic match. According to AFP the 36-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital after experiencing severe chest pain. He had to undergo surgery to implant stents for a blocked artery. He participated in 391 matches for Bangladesh in the various formats from 2007 to 2023. He scored more than 15-thousand runs and is the only Bangladeshi to record centuries in all three international formats.
