Chinese steel exports to SA imposed with 28% provisional tariff

# The International Trade Administration Commission has requested provisional measures of up to 28.11-percent on colour-coated steel imports from China. The measures, implemented by the South African Revenue Service will remain in place for six months. Producers ArcelorMittal South Africa and Safal Steel had complained that Chinese steel was being dumped in the Southern African Customs Union market, causing material injury to local producers. Itac has invited interested parties to submit written comments on its preliminary findings within 14 days.
