Cape Town’s Youth Literacy and Life Skills Programme empowers unemployed youth

# The City of Cape Town says its Youth Literacy and Life Skills Programme has grown steadily since its launch three years ago. In total, a team of 40 job seekers were employed when the programme started, and has supported over three-thousand-500 learners at various schools and two libraries in various communities. Mayoral committee member for Urban Waste Management, Grant Twigg, says through this programme, they are empowering unemployed youth with skills, work experience and formal training.
