# The DA in the Western Cape welcomes a surge in air passenger numbers, as Cape Town International Airport recorded nearly one-million arrivals in April. Over 700-thousand were domestic travellers, while international arrivals jumped 17-percent year-on-year to over 269-thousand. George Airport also saw a 25-percent rise in traffic. The DA’s Noko Masipa credits Wesgro’s Air Access team for the growth, with new and expanded international routes from Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, and London boosting tourism:
