AfriForum condemns secret changes in Kruger coal mine application [SOUND]

# AfriForum calls for the suspension of the environmental approval process for a proposed coal mine near the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga. The civil rights organisation accuses the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and environmental consultant Kimopax of secretly revising key documents and excluding registered stakeholders from a public meeting. AfriForum’s Lambert de Klerk warns the process violates environmental laws and sets a dangerous precedent:
