African universities invited to co-create new rankings framework

# The University of Cape Town has partnered with Applied Higher Education to launch the all-Africa rankings initiative, aimed at creating an African-led framework for measuring university excellence. Universities across the continent have been invited to help shape the initiative during a conference in Cape Town later this month. The university’s Mosa Moshabela says the project is not intended to replace global rankings but to ensure African priorities and perspectives are reflected in how higher education excellence is measured.
