# The African Development Bank has approved a 8.26-billion-rand loan for South Africa’s Infrastructure Governance and Green Growth Programme. This marks the second phase of support for the country’s Just Energy Transition, following a 5.2-billion-rand programme in 2023. Finance minister Enoch Godongwana says the initiative will enhance energy security and transport efficiency. The bank says the project is a blueprint for Africa’s green future, potentially boosting South Africa’s gross domestic product growth by up to 0.4-percent.
