# The Garden Route District Municipality has advised residents and tourists to avoid flooded roads, low-water crossings, and riverbanks, as heavy rainfall continues in parts of the Western Cape. Ninety-three community members from De Rust and Welgeluk were evacuated yesterday and are being accommodated at the Toekomsrus Community Hall. The municipality’s spokesperson, Herman Pieters, says rockfalls have also been reported on the N12 near Chandelier Game Lodge:
