# The Presidency says the strategic importance of the bilateral relations between South Africa and Kenya underlines government’s intentions to elevate the nature of the relationship to that of a strategic partnership. President Cyril Ramaphosa will host Kenyan president William Samoei Ruto on a State Visit at the Union Buildings in Tshwane today. Kenya is one of South Africa’s largest trading partners in Africa, outside of the Southern African Development Community. The Presidency says discussions between the two leaders will range from bilateral, multilateral, economic, regional and continental issues.
