# DA parliamentary leader George Michalakis has called for a Special Investigating Unit probe into alleged cyber fraud in the City of Ekurhuleni. Michalakis says reports suggest hackers, allegedly working with officials, accessed municipal electricity billing systems and erased or altered debts, causing a revenue shortfall of more than two-billion-rand. He warns the alleged breaches and possible corruption could severely affect service delivery and may involve violations of the Municipal Finance Management Act.
