# The Freedom Front Plus says president Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to take on review the Section 89 independent panel report, nearly four years later, is clearly a desperate attempt to save himself. The panel found prima facie evidence that Ramaphosa may have committed serious constitutional violations linked to the Phala Phala scandal. Last week, the Constitutional Court ruled that Parliament acted unlawfully when it voted to reject the panel’s report. The FF Plus says this entire matter has become more about preserving the ANC.
