Trump and Xi agree to calm trade war between US and China

# US President Donald Trump and Chinese president Xi Jinping agreed to calm the trade war between their countries that has roiled global markets. Washington will cut some tariffs and Beijing committed to keep supplies of critical rare earths flowing. Trump called his first meeting with Xi in six years a “great success”, while the Chinese leader said the two reached an “important consensus” towards solving the fight between the world’s two top economies. Trump added that the deal included China immediately buying soybeans and other farm products.
