# South African exports by small and medium-sized enterprises to the US have dropped 46-percent since April. According to shipping platform TUNL’s SME Export Index, the fall follows the revocation of the duty-free waiver and new 30-percent reciprocal tariffs. TUNL CEO Craig Lowman says the changes have hit small exporters pricing them out of the US market. The index tracks one-thousand-850 exporters to monitor tariff impacts monthly.
