# The UK’s Health secretary, Wes Streeting says there is “no evidence” for Donald Trump’s claim that there is a link between taking paracetamol and autism. In his response to Trump’s claim Streeting told ITV there is no link between taking paracetamol in pregnancy and autism in the child. He referred to a major study in 2024 in Sweden involving 2.4-million children, which did not uphold such claims. He asked people not to pay any attention whatsoever to what Trump says about medicine, and to rather follow medical science and the evidence.
