President Cyril Ramaphosa says the extraordinary BRICS leaders’ meeting has come at a crucial time of global economic and political uncertainty. Speaking at the virtual BRICS leaders’ summit, Ramaphosa warned that rising protectionism and unilateral tariffs are harming developing countries, including South Africa, by threatening jobs and growth.
