Western Cape promotes reading on International Literacy Day [SOUND]

# The Western Cape Cultural Affairs and Sport Department says it is committed to fostering a culture of reading across all ages. Marking International Literacy Day, MEC Ricardo Mackenzie highlighted the role of public libraries in providing books, digital resources, and safe study spaces. He confirmed that with 375 service points, rural internet access, and programmes for the blind, the department supports thousands annually and has urged residents to join libraries:
