Minister Meth welcomes legal victory for workplace transformation as court dismisses NEASA and Sakeliga challenge

# Employment and Labour minister, Nomakhosazana Meth, says the dismissal by the High Court in Pretoria of the challenge brought by the National Employers’ Association of South Africa and Sakeliga affirms the government’s efforts to drive workplace transformation. The two business organisations had sought to overturn the Employment Equity Act’s sectoral targets, arguing they were unconstitutional and would harm businesses. Meth says the ruling upholds the principle of equitable representation and paves the way for a more inclusive economy.
