# Acting Police minister Firoz Cachalia has confirmed that the 27th Interpol African Regional Conference will establish an Interpol African Committee. Cachalia says the move is welcomed as vital for tackling crime. Cachalia says the committee is important for institutionalising cooperation to make Interpol durable, sustainable, and responsive to Africa’s challenges.
