# The Western Cape Education MEC David Maynier says one-thousand-355 Grade 4 and 7 teachers are enrolled in the accredited Back-On-Track training programme. Teachers receive intensive sessions every ten days, earning up to 40 South African Council for Educators points. The MEC says the programme, which also targets 15-thousand-450 learners from 223 schools, helps close learning gaps:
