# South Africa’s leading private education provider, AdvTech, has acquired Regis Runda Academy in Nairobi for about 172-million-rand, expanding its Makini Schools footprint in Kenya’s fast-growing education sector. Located in the Ridgeways area, northeast of Nairobi, the school will be rebranded as Makini School Runda. This acquisition follows ADvTech’s recent expansion into two other African countries. In November 2024, the group acquired Flipper International School in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and in June 2025, it launched Rosebank International University College in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
