# Nominations for the 2025 Best of Merafong Awards are open to the public. The event seeks to honour local businesses that deliver outstanding service across Gauteng’s Carletonville, Fochville and surrounding areas. Organisers say the awards aim to spotlight businesses that go above and beyond, encouraging others to raise their standards. Last year’s ceremony was a great success with the community celebrating their favourite restaurants, hair salons, mechanics and retail stores. Residents are encouraged to nominate their favourite businesses before July 1st.
