DA supports the High Seas Treaty, which focuses on protecting marine biodiversity [SOUND]

# The DA says it supports the High Seas Treaty minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Dion George, signed on behalf of South Africa at the UN Oceans Conference in France. Formally known as the Agreement on Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction, the treaty has now been signed by over 130 countries. The DA’s, Andrew de Blocq, says the treaty will introduce global rules for biodiversity conservation, management of impacts, and fair access to marine resources, especially for developing countries:
