White House criticises court ruling halting Trump’s sweeping global tariffs

# The White House has reacted to a court ruling blocking president Donald Trump’s sweeping global tariffs, saying it is not for unelected judges to decide how to properly address a national emergency. The Manhattan-based Court of International Trade ruled that the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which Trump invoked, does not give the president unilateral authority to impose tariffs on nearly every country. White House spokesperson Kush Desai says the administration is committed to using every lever of executive power to address this tariff crisis.
