# Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Blade Nzimande, says he is in the process of appointing a ministerial working group to assess the impact of the withdrawal of research funding by the US government. The US has terminated research funding supporting key biomedical, health, and related collaborative programmes involving the US and South African-based institutions and scientists.
