G20 Healthcare Summit pushes for Africa-centric pharmaceutical solutions

# The G20 meeting on healthcare systems in Africa, held in Johannesburg, will launch a strategic public-private partnership to boost local pharmaceutical manufacturing. As this year’s G20 host, South Africa is spotlighting Africa’s healthcare security and less reliance on external markets for pharmaceutical resources. President Cyril Ramaphosa, in his role as African Union Pandemic Response Champion, is advocating for African-made solutions. The summit brings together AU leaders and health sector delegates to tackle local manufacturing, healthcare security, and strengthen intra-Africa trade to encourage continental investment.
