# The University of Pretoria has once again secured a 100-percent pass rate in the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants’ first professional examination, the Initial Assessment of Competence. This is the third consecutive year in which the university’s candidates have achieved this feat. Of the 20 candidates in the country who passed this year’s IAC with honours, 25-percent are from the institution. The university’s professor, Margaret Chitiga-Mabugu, says these results reaffirm the institution’s commitment to producing future-ready chartered accountants of the highest calibre.
