# South African regional airline, Airlink, has been awarded the International Air Transport Association Environmental Assessment certification. This certification acknowledges Airlink’s commitment to global environmental and sustainability standards. This includes its compliance with the Buckingham Palace Declaration to combat illegal wildlife trade. Airlink’s executive manager Hardus Kuschke highlighted its efforts in protecting endangered wildlife through collaboration with the Royal Foundation’s United for Wildlife. Meanwhile, Airlink CEO, De Villiers Engelbrecht, emphasised the airline’s role in minimising environmental impact.
