Court to rule on Mapisa-Nqakula’s bid for further disclosures in corruption case

# The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria is today set to deliver judgment on former National Assembly speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula’s bid for further disclosures in the corruption case against her. She is charged with 12 counts of corruption and one count of money laundering, for allegedly soliciting and receiving bribes. Mapisa-Nqakula wants the State to hand over section C of the docket, which is the police book investigating diary. However, the State has argued that the information was privileged and won’t be used against Mapisa-Nqakula during the trial.
