Gayton McKenzie’s Patriotic Alliance takes ward held by DA

# Gayton McKenzie’s Patriotic Alliance won a by-election in a ward in Johannesburg previously won by the DA. In another Johannesburg by-election the DA retained ward 99 by receiving 98-percent of the votes cast. The ANC retained its seat in a by-election held in the Eastern Cape. In KwaZulu Natal, the ANC won a seat in uPhongolo held previously by the IFP, while the MK party won a ward in KwaDukuza previously held by the ANC. In Limpopo, the ANC retained its seat.
