# The Midvaal Municipality in Gauteng has donated at least 40 wheelchairs and 20 crutches to residents in need, supporting individuals with mobility challenges. The donation was spearheaded by mayor, Peter Teixeira, and members of the mayoral committee. The mayor’s spokesperson, Idah Satikhe, says this initiative aligns with the municipality’s mission of being a people-centred and compassionate institution:
