# Summit Africa has launched its second private equity fund, with a 368-million-rand anchor investment from British International Investment. The fund targets small and medium-sized enterprises in financial services, information and communication technology, and food security. British International Investment CEO Leslie Maasdorp says the fund aims to boost financial inclusion, job creation, and diversity across South Africa and the region. He emphasised that the fund will raise an additional 400- to 500-million-rand before deploying capital, with a final target of 2.5-billion-rand.
