# South African Police Service’s Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo and KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, have been called up to assist with the investigation into the Ekurhuleni murders. A high-level, multidisciplinary team has been tasked with investigating the murders of nine women, while a 400-thousand-rand reward has been offered for information that could help police make progress in the investigation. Acting minister of Police Feroz Cachalia says both human and financial resources are being used to get a breakthrough:
