# The minister of Employment and Labour, Nomakhosazana Meth, and Eastern Cape premier Oscar Mabuyane have welcomed the payment of more than 42-million-rand in compensation and benefits to former mine workers and surviving beneficiaries. The payments were made during a 41-day outreach programme that started in July.
